Large HD Fabricated Structural Steel Skis

We worked with Cruz construction to design and build a set of structural steel skis to mount underneath a flat deck trailer.

We partnered with our sister company Triverus to complete the design and load calculations. Once this was complete we proceeded to water-jet the large open side panels and start the fabrication and welding.

Once all metal fabrication was complete we powder-coated the entire ski. One of the last items we did was to install the UHMW material to the bottom of both skis.

The goal of the project was to provide heavy load carrying capability over snow covered trails and roads during the winter months.
